En 1994 la Sra Lupita Tostado, decide iniciar un centro de estimulación temprana a nivel preescolar, esto ante la necesidad de la ausencia de colegios inclusivos. ofreciendo espacio a niños que habían nacido con una discapacidad.
La aceptación fue muy grande y decidió junto con su esposo el Dr. Mario Ybarra, abrir el nivel de Primaria, adoptando modelos educativos de diferentes países, mismos que abonan a la filosofía de la institución “TEACHING FOR LIFE”.
El crecimiento siguió, abrieron 2 salones por grado, hasta que la insistencia de los padres de familia hizo que aperturaran la secundaria y así cubrir la educación básica.
Hoy en día Instituto Philadelphia se caracteriza no solo por ser un colegio inclusivo y su trato humano, si no también por su alto nivel académico y cercanía con los padres de familia.
